Common QuestionsCan I use Atlantic ImmediCare for emergencies?Don't go to a drugstore clinic for serious medical problems. If you have chest pain or trouble breathing, for example, call 911. Likewise, walk-in clinics may not be a good idea for people with other health issues, such as cancer or even diabetes. You may be better off seeing your primary care physician. Do I have to use Rite Aid's pharmacy to fill my prescription if one is prescribed? No. It is not required that you use Rite Aid's pharmacy. However, the partnership between Atlantic ImmediCare and the clinic's Rite Aid location helps to streamline the prescription filling process... making your path to recovery a fast and convenient one! Should I bring anything with me for my visit? It's always a good idea to bring a list of all drugs and supplements that you take along with the dosages whenever you visit a healthcare professional. This is the single best way to avoid medical errors such as potentially dangerous drug interactions. Also, check beforehand whether you are up-to-date on immunizations, such as tetanus shots, as this can sometimes affect treatment. Does Atlantic ImmediCare accept my insurance? In order to keep our fees for services as reasonable as possible, Atlantic ImmediCare is a non-participating provider; therefore, we do not accept any insurances, health plans, or state or federal programs. This does not however mean that you will not be reimbursed for your visit. Please visit our Fees & Payment page for more in depth information. Should I request a copy of the medical record from my visit for my Primary Care Physician? If your current primary care physician is an Atlantic General Health System (AGHS) provider there is no need. As part of the AGHS, your primary care provider will have access to the record from your visit as part of your overall medical history. If your primary care physician is not affiliated with AGHS, you may request a copy of your records by calling the Medical Records Office at 410-641-9614. How do I know that the Atlantic ImmediCare providers are reputable?Because all Atlantic ImmediCare clinics are staffed by health care professionals who are affiliated with Atlantic General Hospital, you can be assured that you will receive the best possible care.
